Anatoly Bakharev: “I started to my job search immediately after graduation by sending my CV to potential employers. My working career began in 2006 when Konepaja ASTEX Gear Oy employed me as a CNC -operator. A few years later I was promoted to production manager and therefore I’m quite satisfied with my career so far. Konepaja ASTEX Gear Oy is a metal workshop focused on CNC turning and milling.”
Hu Haiyang: “I was in the very first international group that the Saimaa University of Applied Sciences ever admitted. The name of the school in those days was South Karelia Polytechnic. I came to study for a bachelor’s degree in paper technology (at present: Degree Programme in Chemical Engineering) after high school graduation in China. The year was 2007, and I graduated with a bachelor’s in engineering at the end of 2010.
Alexandra Ijäs: “I am studying international marketing management on the master’s level at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and working in LUT’s research centre as a research assistant. My task is to research small and medium enterprises in Russia. The research is called JIID2: A Joint Study of International Infrastructure Development of Small and Medium-sized ICT Enterprises in North West Russia - 2.”
