The students in degree programmes at the Saimaa University of Applied Sciences (SUAS) have the unique opportunity of using the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) along with the students of the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) on the new Skinnarila Campus starting in the autumn of 2011. The student of SUAS will receive, in a national pilot programme, the same Finnish Student Health Service as the students of LUT. In Lappeenranta, the programme is for students in the degree programmes only. Those students studying in Imatra will continue to have their health care provided by the City of Imatra. These services will also be available for foreign students studying in the degree programmes for more than 4 months. The goal of this 3 year pilot programme is to develop the health care services using the FHSH model to insure both comprehensive and quality care for UAS students. This pilot programme will also be used in Seinäjoki. FSHS services for students in Lappeenranta: You may use the FSHS services if you are studying in a degree programme in the Saimaa University of Applied Sciences in Lappeenranta, and have paid the yearly student health service fee of 42 Euros. The Saimaa University of Applied Sciences will join campuses with the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in the autumn of 2011. More information about FSHS services and the payment for FSHS |
