The Saimaa University of Applied Sciences will arrange the opening ceremony of academic year 2011-2012 on September 14 at 1 p.m. The opening ceremony will be held in the City Hall, in the Lappeenranta-auditorium (Street address: Villimiehenkatu 1, Lappeenranta).

The speakers of the opening ceremony are Ms. Anneli Pirttilä, rector of the Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, Ms. Niina Nurkka, principal lecturer of the Health Care and Social Services and Mr. Mikko Valtonen, chairman of the board of the Saimaa University of Applied Sciences’ Student Union (SAIKO).

This fall 675 new young and adult students begin their studies in Saimaa UAS. In total, the Saimaa University of Applied Sciences has about 3 000 students in five fields studying on our campuses in Imatra and Lappeenranta.
