The hotel and restaurant business is a constantly growing worldwide industry. This dynamic industry needs modern, multicultural, customer-oriented experts with good management and project leadership skills.

Bachelors of Hospitality Management are experts in the international tourism industry environment. Marketing and sales skills are one of the core competences of these multicultural professionals. Destination management and planning, including product planning and development are some examples to be mentioned of a skillful graduate. To succeed in the interdisciplinary field of hotel, restaurant and tourism, management skills are required. The studies emphasise networking with companies as well as versatile language and cross-cultural skills.

Studies in Imatra
Imatra is located in Southeast Finland, close to the Russian border on the shores of Imatrankoski Rapids, one of the oldest tourist attractions of Finland. There are good facilities for sports and nature activities. The lifestyle is peaceful and calm.

The graduates from the degree programme will work as experts in hotel, restaurant and tourism sectors employed in different expert duties such as hotel, revenue or sales managers. However, to be an effective manager, practical, operational expertise is essential. These practical skills will get a good start during the compulsory placement period.
