Good day to all!

It has been quite long since the last time I dropped a line here, and a lot has changed since then. I am still a student at Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, but will be graduating sometime soon – presumably in the next three months. Remembering that I have already completed all the compulsory courses, you may wonder why I have not graduated yet. The thing is that I have decided to take some additional online learning courses on programming, banking and finance. Luckily, there is such an opportunity for those who are yet students of some Finnish uni. I hope this courses will help me to form a relevant educational background for postgraduate studies. I do it with a view to get into a Master’s of my choice in Finland.

Since the courses I am taking now are in an online form, I am free to move around, which is very convenient. The total workload from the courses is relatively small – approximately 20 ECTS – so I decided to get myself busy with something else. After a while, I got a six-month internship offer from EY. I am now in Moscow doing my second month in the Corporate Finance Strategy unit under Transaction Advisory Services department. Some of the services offered by the unit include conducting commercial due diligence studies for financial investors and creating market, growth and strategy engagements for corporate clients. I very much like it here, and is endlessly happy to be eventually applying all my skills and knowledge on a real-life business cases.

This is all for now! Wishing you all the best with your studies, and have an enjoyable student life!

Goodbye!
