The tuition fee for NON-EU/EEA students in Bachelor´s degree programmes taught in English is 4 300 €/academic year (studies begun in autumn 2017 or 2018). For students in the Master´s degree programme taught in English the tuition fee is 5 100 €/academic year (studies begun in autumn 2017 or 2018).
Continuing students who are not granted a scholarship to cover the tuition fee must pay the annual tuition fee by 31.7. at the latest. The payment must be made in total.
A continuing student who has enrolled for the next academic year but did not get the scholarship and has not paid the tuition fee by the due date does not have a right to study.
Saimaa UAS does not grant scholarships for first-year students (beginning students). If your studies have progressed according to the confirmed curriculum during the academic year and you are in need of financial aid, you can apply for a scholarship for the second or third year. To receive a scholarship, the student must have completed a minimum of 55 ECTS credits during the first academic year (between August 1–July 31). There is no grade criteria.
A scholarship can be granted from the 2nd year of study onwards (1 year at a time) for the standard study period (3,5 years/Bachelor's and 2,5 years/Master's). A scholarship can only be granted to a student who has enrolled as attending (present) for the academic year.
The scholarship covers the tuition fee for the next academic year, and is not paid to the student's bank account.
Please note that any misconduct during studies will affect the scholarship decision. https://www.saimia.fi/docs/studies/Guidelines_for_handling_misconduct_Saimaa_UAS.pdf
